We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy Store Manager to join our team in Hartlepool, United Kingdom. As a key member of our management team, you will play a crucial role in driving store performance, leading staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and achieving sales targets
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of sales associates
- Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained throughout the store
- Manage inventory levels, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising
- Analyse sales data and implement strategies to improve store performance
- Handle cash management and financial procedures accurately
- Resolve customer complaints and address staff concerns promptly
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe store environment
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures
- Cover for the Store Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for the store
- Proven experience of 2-3 years in retail management, preferably as an assistant manager or supervisor
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for delivering exceptional shopping experiences
- Proficiency in inventory management and visual merchandising techniques
- Solid understanding of sales analysis and profit-driving strategies
- Experience in cash handling and financial procedures
- Demonstrated ability in conflict resolution and problem-solving
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Knowledge of retail industry trends and best practices
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a retail environment
- Understanding of loss prevention techniques
- A-levels or equivalent (preferred)
- Retail management certification (preferred)
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
