We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our team in Cannock, United Kingdom. This part-time role offers 30 hours per week, providing an excellent opportunity for those looking to build a career in retail. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the success of our store.
- Greet and assist customers in a warm and professional manner
- Provide expert product knowledge and advice to help customers make informed purchasing decisions
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the till system
- Handle cash, card payments, and maintain a balanced till
- Maintain a clean and tidy shop floor, ensuring products are well-presented and correctly priced
- Assist with visual merchandising and creating attractive product displays
- Receive and replenish stock, ensuring shelves are well-stocked at all times
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service
- Address customer queries and resolve any issues in a timely and satisfactory manner
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
- Strong customer service orientation and a genuine desire to help others
- Basic numeracy skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and occasional evenings
- Good time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Keen eye for detail and passion for visual merchandising
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred, but not essential
- Enthusiasm for learning about products and staying up-to-date with current trends
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
